How is trash handled?
Harpswell has a recycling center and transfer station for all household trash and recycling. It is free and no special bags are necessary. They offer single stream recycling, so all household trash is placed in one dumpster and all recyclables (glass, plastic, cardboard, etc.) are placed in the other dumpster. For our Brunswick properties, the town offers pick up and we will provide you with a schedule.
What do you require for a deposit?
We collect first and last month’s rent, as well as a security deposit (equal to one month’s rent). This is due shortly after the signing of the lease.
Is there any flexibility with move-in and move-out dates?
All of our properties are listed as vacation rental homes Memorial Day through Sept/Oct, so we do not have a great deal of flexibility. For questions regarding specific homes, please contact our office.
How are the roads maintained during the winter months?
Harpswell is home to over 5,000 yearround residents. The main roads (and some side roads) are town maintained and well-kept through the winter months. It is important to be prepared for inclement weather and snow storms and ensure your vehicle is suitable for poor driving conditions (snow tires, AWD, etc.)
