Cannot say enough positive things about this listing

September 2025

Overall
5

Just got back from a short stay at this house - cannot say enough positive things about this listing. The location is great - feels private but less than 10 minutes to civilization. The house was clean and well equipped; beds and furniture were comfortable; the yard was great for our dogs (they loved the pond); and the screen porch was amazing for relaxing and meals. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. Looking forward to coming back again.

Everything was great. Beautiful home with inviting screen porch. The grounds are lovely with a pond view. And a firepit next to the pond. Everyone enjoyed our stay.

The house was as described, well stocked with everything we needed and in the perfect location-far enough from town to feel like we were in the country but close enough that a run to the store wouldn’t have been inconvenient. The hosts were very friendly and communicated well. We would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful home in a wonderful location, abounding with wildlife

A beautiful home in a wonderful location, abounding with wildlife. Very pleasant and responsive communications with the hosts, who were genuinely attentive to our needs and quick with responses. Lovely great room, spacious and cozy at the same time. Perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter. We had our meals that we prepared in their cool kitchen, on the comfortable screened in porch, viewing the birds and deer that came to the fresh water pond just yards away. And for us, lovers of Popham and kayaking, as well as visits to Brunswick and Bath, the location was ideal. We're really hoping we can return!

The home is lovely!

The home is lovely! Comfortable, well-appointed, relaxing, well located for adventures in the area but so private and quiet. The hosts are excellent—responsive and attentive and most gracious. They even left us fresh flowers several times to add to the beauty of the home. We particularly enjoyed the screened porch overlooking the pond and the variety of wildlife that appeared. The house and property allowed for some great afternoons and evenings with family and friends. We hope to be back next year.

We had a wonderful time at this cozy place and truly felt like home by the end of our stay. Tracey and Kendall are awesome hosts – the house was super clean and they gave excellent recommendations, checked in regularly, and were quick to respond. We would totally stay here again and definitely recommend this place to anyone interested exploring Brunswick, Harpswell, Orr's Island, and more.

Tracey and Kendall's house was perfect place for our family to gather for a Maine getaway. They were so accommodating and even had all the baby gear we needed for our 1.5 year old. The house is close to many amazing beaches and conveniently minutes from town! We would love to come back for another stay.

We had a wonderful week in this house. The owners were so kind and thoughtful with every detail. The house is beautiful; we enjoyed the great family dining and living room areas and took full advantage of the screened in porch. Our kids enjoyed seeing deer, turkeys, and even a porcupine up close. It’s convenient to Brunswick and Bath- a great location! Thank you for a great week!!

A perfect home away from home

We felt instantly at home in John's "cottage." It is comfortable and clean with a ton a privacy. Despite feeling like we were in a remote part of Maine, the house is a short distance from Popham Beach, Bath, and of course, Brunswick. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee (and evening cocktails) on the spacious screened-in porch. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to cook some gourmet meals. We had a marathon bocce game on the huge yard. The giant couch accommodated 5 reclined adults for nighttime movie-viewing. We even got to watch a mother robin feed her babies all week and were treated to seeing the fledglings leave the nest. Since we were visiting Maine from California, we appreciated that there items we could not bring in our luggage: beach towels, beach chairs, and a cooler. And the giant washer and dryer made short work of our mound of dirty laundry. John is an excellent communicator and quick to respond to any inquiries. Our family had a great stay and are already planning next year's visit.

John’s house was super comfortable and a peaceful location not far from good restaurants and activities. It is spacious and very well stocked with everything you would need for a long term stay. We were only there a week but would have been happy to stay longer.

Convenient to all locations while still being away from town. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure in bathrooms was very good. Screened in porch and fire pit were a great additions. Homeowner also had 4 beach chairs and an umbrella which worked very well.
