Perched overlooking Merriconeag Sound rests this charming, beautifully furnished 2BR, 1BA Bailey Island cottage. Perfectly located in the West Shore neighborhood, you'll love being within walking distance of all the islands have to offer including Cook's Lobster & Ale House, Sundrenched, Fishnet Cafe, Bailey Island General Store, and just a short drive away from other great local eats. Spend your days lounging on the sunlit deck watching the lobster boats pass by or go on a nearby adventure. Just make sure you make it back in time for the glorious sunsets over the sound.
Inside the cottage are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a twin trundle (twin on top and a twin pull-out underneath), a full bathroom with stall shower, fully stocked kitchen, and a living room area with a loveseat, two chairs and a large flat screen TV. For additional comfort, the cottage offers heat pumps with A/C for hot summer days. Outside there is an elevated deck with a picnic table, umbrella, and two Adirondack chairs, a yard area, and stairs to access the waterfront.

Please note- While it offers everything you need, the bathroom is quite small with a stall shower and if you are concerned about the space or comfort, please talk to our team. For kayak access, we would recommend launching from Garrison Cove, just down the road.

I rent a house on the water in Maine every summer, and this was among the nicest. Everything was as described and it was perfect for the two of us who were there. The only drawback was that a storm had taken out the stairway that provided direct access to the water. I was notified of this ahead of arrival, but it would have been nicer to have been able to get to the water directly from the house. (A small rebate due to the inability to do that would have been nice too.) Hopefully it will be repaired soon.

We arrived in a downpour and so noticed inside first. It was clean, comfortable and well provisioned. We even needed to put on some heat--appreciated the heat pump.
The next day, we could be out on the deck which we loved. The deck added considerable space to the small house. Even in its "smallness" it had all we needed. A very well provisioned kitchen, comfortable beds, nice sitting area. We loved the location. We could walk to two restaurants, both highly rated, although we only went to one. A good experience. We loved Bailey's Island, especially the view, the sunset and the surrounding area.

We had an absolutely lovely week at Sea Ledge South. The view is amazing, it was quiet and so peaceful. We decided to take a work vacation- so we worked a lot when we were there just for a change of scenery and to relax. Great internet for working, and had everything we could have wanted.

This was my second time renting this unit.
Incredible views, very clean and well equipped! I was very disappointed about only learning about the inability to access the shore line until after I had booked and paid. This was a selling point for this rental choice.
