Moorings

This is the first time my husband and I (along with our pup) have stayed at Moorings, but it will not be the last. The home is spacious, comfortable, clean with views that can't be beat. We pretty much lived on the deck and enjoyed coffee in the mornings, and a refreshing drink in the evenings. Its great to be within walking distance of both Erica's Seafood and The Dolphin Marina (we enjoyed both places). We will definitely be returning here again.

The location is ideal. The view is nonstop incredible. We had two of the best restaurants in the area within a stones throw of our front door but still very quiet and secluded. One word of caution, the stairs to the beach are no more and the Adirondack chairs pictured are not there. A bonus was the use of a one car garage with the perfect place to charge your car if necessary. The property is immaculate and our fur baby had the time of her life rolling in the grass.

My wife, daughter and myself had a great time visiting the Harpswell region. We have been vacationing in Maine for years, and this is our second time in the area. The house was perfect for our daily excursions. Two restaurants were in 5 minutes walk for those times we "stayed home". The people managing the site were professional and responsive. Thoughtful, too... our little dog died right before our vacation and they were very understanding and returned our pet fee.

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed, it was comfortable, and the views were incredible! We traveled with our 3yr old who had a wonderful time.

A great, quiet spot with good space for kids to explore the beach at low tide & and two side yards. A 1-min walk and you’re buying lobsters or picking up lunch at Erica’s or doing higher end dining at the Dolphin. Porch is spacious and has an overhang for covered grilling on wet days and an iconic Maine view of working lobster boats. You’re 25 min + from gas or a large grocery store so plan accordingly.

What can I say about Moorings?? This ocean front home was perfect in every way! The gorgeous deck had a million dollar view of Basin Cove. Every day and night, we had a beautiful vista. BLAZING, glorious sunrises!! We loved hearing the lobster boats fire up in the morning and enjoyed watching them return in the afternoon. We could walk to our two favorite eating establishments: Ericas and Dolphin Marina and Restaurant. This home is just remote enough to be quiet and private, but easy enough to get anywhere you needed to go within a reasonable amount of time. The owner has created a beautiful home with top-of-the-line appliances and amenities. The somewhat rocky beach was accessible from a well-kept staircase in the back yard. It was fun to "beachcomb" for shells and unique rocks. The grounds were exceptionally well kept. We would definitely stay at the Moorings again, without a doubt!!

Our family travels to Maine bi-annually to visit friends and family. This is the perfect location. This has been our best rental home, and we will be returning due to the great customer service and unique features of this home and location.

Located on a working harbor, The Moorings is a wonderful vacation spot. Although the house is small, it doesn’t feel small. The windows looking over the water and the view from the deck are spectacular. Seafood restaurants next door and a well-equipped kitchen made for some delicious meals. Beds are comfortable. The only draw back is spotty cell service and no landline. We vacationed during a heat spell and the ocean breezes kept us cool and comfortable. Highly recommend.
