Tranquil Harbor

Our experience was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was very helpful and the house was totally in order on our arrival and it was an easy transition from start to finish.

This is a beautiful spacious house on the gorgeous harbor. We loved kayaking, swimming, eating in the screens gazebo, spacious porsche and patios. The master bathroom is lovely and there is a nice office off the clinic room. This property is a gem. You feel remote but yet have easy access to shops and restaurants.

Property description is spot on , even though we have stayed here before. House was very clean well supplied and quiet . Excellent kayaking and swimming. The name fits.

Some family flew into town and we drove up to this home from Boston. It was a much more manageable drive compared to going to Acadia. Arriving late, the lights were on, entry was easy, and we were immediately happy with our choice. This home was privately located and you can't really see any other homes from the yard. The inside was spotless and spacious. Master bathroom was amazing and the tub was a great surprise. The couches were all clean and comfy. The picture frame upstairs above the fireplace is actually a TV (we were hoping there was a TV in that room). The fireplace quickly warmed up the main living room area and kitchen. The pictures don't show the outdoor firepit. They've added a stone patio with built in firepit and adirondack chairs. We loved sitting by the fire as we watched the sunset over the ocean. The tide goes out pretty far when it's low so the immediate cove becomes a mud flat (no bad smells though). There were lots of seabirds, some seals, a bald eagle, and we listened to owls at night. We put out a bird feeder and watched a huge variety of feathery friends. The internet was fast enough to stream movies while also doing video calls for work. Stores were only 10 minutes away. We bought live lobster at a shack 5 minutes away and cooked it outside on the dedicated lobster propane cooker (2 huge pots). All in all, we LOVED this home and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This home is spectacular! In the past we might rent a home that only had 2 1/2 bathrooms but now that we are older, we need 3 bedrooms with ensuites and that is what you get with Tranquil Harbor! The view is spectacular and the location can't be beat-near Brunswick, Portland, Freeport, and Bath!This was our second time renting this home and we are planning on a third next year!

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend 10 glorious days at Tranquil Harbor! The house was absolutely spotless and has everything you need and even more if that’s possible! As soon as I walked into the house and saw the view from the beautiful and expansive windows I knew it was going to be a great vacation The location is perfect and it’s easy to get to Freeport or Portland or anywhere else you want to go We enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the view. Our dog loved exploring in the very large attractive back yard. The Mainestay team is very responsive We had an issue and Darcie handeled it efficiently This was definitely one of the best houses we ever rented!

Although we live in Maine, we have rented this secluded house for three summers to enjoy easy access to the sea. The gorgeous Harpswell island location is only a ten minute drive to Brunswick shops and ideal for kayaking and swimming off a private rocky beach at high tide. You'll need to carry your boats (not provided but easy to rent) down a long stairway to a floating private dock. Pack water shoes and binoculars. Bird watching is excellent at low tide over the mudflats: ospreys, bald eagles, herons, egrets etc. The best features are the large open deck, screened gazebo, and two story living room, all framing the stunning view. Although it sleeps 8, it is best for 3 couples since the fourth bedroom is up a spiral staircase to an open loft, overlooking the open plan living area. The kitchen is well equipped with an extra refrigerator in the garage. Best new addition this year was a fire pit overlooking the water. Maine Stay Vacations has always delivered a clean house with fresh linens and timely support. Our dog loves it too. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful location and home. Very clean on arrival and had everything we needed for our family of four including 2 teens. It is one of the best rental properties we have visited and property manager responded quickly to any of our questions.

Tranquil Harbor is a lovely spacious home with lots of amenities! A great place for families to gather. We loved that it was dog-friendly, so the furry members of our family could enjoy it as well.

The name Tranquil Harbor fits to a t , all of the islands to kayak around the view , yes a special place .

We are three couples that have vacationed together for well over 40 years. Of all the "vacation home rentals," this was the best by far. We full anticipate reserving it for another trip within the next year. Beautiful and very functional home, superb location with ocean views, secluded and quiet, but minutes from Brunswick and short drives to many other attractions. Extremely clean! This home is completely updated inside and ready for guests to enjoy! The kitchen is well appointed and the smart home features are a nice touch. The private water access is perfect for families with young children. The screened in gazebo is a treat! The house is conveniently located to all that Harpswell has to offer. MaineStay does not disappoint with this house!

We loved our visit to Tranquil Harbor! Beautiful home in a lovely setting. It was perfect for our family of 7. Kitchen was very well equipped. We loved having evening cocktails on the huge deck in the comfortable Adirondacks watching the sunset over the harbor. The young people loved the pool table and huge tv downstairs. The Maine mid-coast area is convenient for visiting Bar Harbor and Portland and further south.

It is a beautiful home and beautiful location. It doesn't always work that way with rentals so we were especially happy to see how well everything was taken care of and that it was exactly as described. Marcy was wonderful to work with! Gold stars all around for her!! Would definitely recommend to all! There was absolutely nothing negative we could say. Just such a very positive experience! Would love to go back again!
