Edgewater Cottage

Lovely home in beautiful location.

We had a reunion for the senior members of our family at your lovely 3 bedroom cottage right on the bay. The setting was glorious, the cottage was well equipped, comfortable and easily accommadated all the needs of five of us.

We had a magnificent week at Edgewater Cottage. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck mesmerized by that beautiful view. The beds were comfortable, and the cottage had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful as well as the picturesque location. The property was exactly as advertised and very well kept. I would highly recommend this property. The beach was wonderful for small children. Pammys ice cream was a treat as well as Erica’s and the Dolphin.

It was fantastic,highly recommend this amazing place and wonderful clean house.

Great place if you want to be away from big city hustle. Easy access to big city Portland and smaller northern towns. Great views and very relaxing.

This was our second stay at Edgewater Cottage and we will very likely be back next year - if not this location, we would definitely rent through MainStay Vacations again. Edgewater is a lovely spot and made for another wonderful week.
What makes this house special are the views and proximity to the water. We did a sunset walk every night and used our inflatable kayak daily.

We had a wonderful week at Edgewater cottage. The place was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. I would recommend bringing a sharp knife if planning to cook a lot. Although they had many knives, they weren’t as sharp as I would like. There are 2 coffee makers, a Keurig and a drip. There were basket filters there, but it does better with cone filters. I left some there. The surroundings are beautiful. Great views. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the deck. As far as places to go, I would recommend Dolphin restaurant. Also, Bailey Island a must. There is a deck around the Land’s End gift shop with awesome views. The property description is pretty accurate. The houses on either side are close. We had neighbors on our left only. The management staff were helpful and available for any questions we had. All in all, a great vacation.

Edgewater was the perfect getaway for our family. Amazing location and the view and size of the home was spot on for what we wanted. The home is a solid 20 minutes from food shopping and the town of Brunswick, but that was completely fine for our family. We went on a different hike each day and rented paddle boards for the afternoon. The home had everything we needed and it was just the perfect spot to have a mix of adventures and relaxation. We have rented homes in Maine and NH just about every year for the last 17 years and this was by far the best fit and value. We definitely plan to return.

The strength of the place is its location and that it is trim, sweet, and modern inside. It is not private, at all, which the photos would imply. There is a house on either side, one of which had a man working on it, and the other had renters. Across the way, the homeowner was using power tools, for half the day, and intermittently, running and draining his boat engine, but that happened, a few times, for a few hours, only. Communication from the rental agency wasn't great regarding issues with the upstair toilet and garbage pick-up, but I suspect that the rental agency was very busy. We would definitely rent, again, despite some minor glitches.

We had such a great time at Edgewater Cottage. The layout of the house is so vacation friendly and the community is nice and quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked and easy to cook in and we loved the waterfront- very quiet and a nice cove to swim in. We would definitely come back!

Great location to relax and enjoy Harpswell. Close to amenities, great pocket beach and lots of wildlife.

The Edgewater Cottage was perfect for our group of 6 adults and a 2 year old. It was comfortable, attractive and child-friendly. Being right on the beach with a lawn to play on was the best.

We stayed for a week in August with four adults and two children under 7. The home is newer and modern compared to other homes we looked at, which were more "rustic". There was plenty of room for all of us without tripping over one another. The sea breeze was wonderful, and felt throughout the whole downstairs and master bedroom. We would have preferred ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room, but it was fine with the temperatures in the 70s. Any warmer and it would have gotten uncomfortable during the day. The location was perfect, as the neighborhood was quiet and cozy, but we weren't far from Brunswick or Freeport for a nice outing, and there were several nature preserves and hiking opportunities only a few minutes away. Our favorite part was having the beach access right from our own little yard. The kids played in the yard quite often, and you could see for quite a way from the house and yard at low tide, so we always knew where everyone was. A little chilly for swimming, but you couldn't beat the shell, rock, and sea glass collecting, as well as exploring the tide pools. Our friends used their SUPs and had a blast exploring the islands. This was a wonderful home for a relaxing getaway, and we are already looking forward to coming back next year!

Beautiful location with great waterfront views from entire downstairs. Great bathroom and shower. Nice selection of kitchen amenities for foodies like us. Easy walks to work off the calories too.
