Such a location, is prime for kayaking, swimming, bird watching and all other outdoor endeavors, right there in your own backyard! You will be charmed by all this home has to offer.

Portside is a contemporary style home, all creature comforts included. It receives a generous amount of natural light from the abundance of windows and skylights located throughout and features vaulted ceilings. The open concept kitchen, living and dining areas offer guests ample room to comfortably gather. You will enjoy having dinner alongside glass doors overlooking Mill Cove, or you may crack open a book in the naturally lit four season sun room, with floors that have the ability to heat beneath you on chilly fall evenings. There is a bedroom located off of the kitchen on the first level with a powder room just outside the door. The second level, with an additional living area, boasts beautiful beams and vaulted ceilings, as it splits to a third level where the rest of the bedrooms are located, each provided their own bathroom.

Stepping outside for your first breath of salty air, you will immediately feel relaxation set in as you find the lavish amount of yard space offering you the ability to tune into the great natural enchantments that the Maine coast has to offer. The yard is meticulously landscaped and proposes that you enjoy the deck just outside of the glass doors located in the dining room. Two Coves Farm is located just down the road, if you desire to indulge in farm fresh groceries. The Dolphin Marina, Schoolhouse Café, Erica’s Seafood and the Vegetable Corner are just a short drive away, if you are looking to please your pallet! Additionally, Portside is just 10 minutes from Brunswick’s town center, where you will find an abundance of activities and eateries to indulge in!

Modern Maine Home With Stunning Easterly Views And Pebbly Oceanfront Portside was the ideal home to come together with family. The home is spacious with beautiful views from the large windows facing the bay. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, kayaking, and shopping in Freeport. We would recommend Two Coves Farm for healthy fresh produce and meat, loved our bakery items from Wild Oats Bakery in Brunswick, and dining at Dolphin Marina- (definitley worth the trip for the views. Staff at Mainstay were quick to respond to inquiries, and made the rental of Portside seamless.

The view from the backyard facing the Cove was unparalleled. Made for great morning coffee and sitting quietly. I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic home to vacation in last week. We all agreed that this was one of our favorites. The space; bedrooms and bathrooms were all perfect! The water access was super and we all enjoyed our time spent there. We have rented in the Casco Bay region for several years and this home was the perfect mix of seclusion and proximity to restaurants and shops in town. Already looking forward to next year.

This lovely home was exactly the get-a-way we needed, just the four of us, with our dogs, for a fantastic week in beautiful Harpswell Maine. The oceanfront access was great, the spacious home was lovely and well kept, everything spotless and almost brand new, and plenty of room for all to spread out and relax. We had a great time exploring the area, all within 30-90 minutes from beaches to Freeport to Boothbay. We checked out local restaurants in Harpswell, Bailey and Orr's Island, and even went on a Whale Watch tour. The MaineStay staff took great care of us, and made sure we had everything we needed. The next time we are back in Maine, we will definitely consider one of their properties again.


Check-In: Check-in is at our office located at 1624 Harpswell Islands Road, Orr's Island, ME 04066 between 4pm and 5pm on the date of your arrival. If you think you may be arriving later, please contact MaineStay Vacations and we would be happy to make other arrangements for you.

Check-Out: Check-out is at 10am on the date of your departure. We kindly ask that all guests are prompt, as our cleaners have many homes to take care of, especially in the summer months.

Linens: All properties are supplied with pillows and blankets or comforters, they do not come with sheets and towels. You have the option to either bring your own or rent our linen service. This service provides you with bed sheets, towel sets for the maximum number of guests allowed, bath mats, and kitchen towels. Towel sets consist of a bath towel, hand towel, and face cloth, and you have the option rent more towel sets if needed. The linens are professionally cleaned and sanitized between use. Linens will be provided to you when you check in at our office.

Payment: We collect 50% when you reserve and the other 50% is due 30 days prior to your arrival. You will receive a notification via email 3 days prior to the due date as a reminder. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, money orders, traveler's checks, and personal checks. If you pay the deposit with a credit card, we will automatically charge the card on file for the final balance. If you wish to change your form of payment, please don't hesitate to contact us when you receive the balance due notification 3 days prior.

What You Need to Bring to Our Vacation Rental Properties:

Groceries- The nearest grocery stores are in Brunswick and are as follows:

Bottled Water- All of our properties have private wells, so you may prefer bottled water.

Soaps & Detergents- We do not provide dish soap, sponges, inside trash bags, paper goods, and toiletries. Some items are left by owners and previous renters and can be used. We recommend that you check the property for these items before purchasing them at your local store.

Paper Towel & Toilet Paper- You will receive a complimentary roll of paper towel and toilet paper when you arrive, as well as a trash bag to get you started, but all guests are responsible for these items during their stay.

Linens- If you did not rent our service, please do not forget to bring sheets, towels, bath mats, and kitchen towels.

Beach Towels- Our linen service does not provide beach towels, so please remember to bring them with you.

Beach Chairs- We do not require our owners to provide chairs for the beach.

Propane Tanks- For our homes with gas grills, all propane tanks are filled at the beginning of the season by owners and we ask our guests to please refill tanks that they empty and we will reimburse you for that expense. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE EMPTY PROPANE TANKS FOR THE NEXT GUEST.
