Androscoggin River Bicycle and Pedestrian Path

The Androscoggin River Bicycle and Pedestrian Path is a well-kept, 2.6 mile long path located along the Androscoggin River and Rt. 1. It is kid and pet-friendly, and is a wonderful place to exercise while enjoying a beautiful day in Maine. The path is open 24/7 The entrances are as follows: In town of Brunswick: the entrance to the Bike Path is located at the east end of Water Street, just past the Water Street Boat Landing Cook’s Corner, Brunswick: this entrance is located at the end of Grover Lane; Driving northeast, Grover Lane is the first left from Old Bath Road, just after crossing over U.S. Route 1 Topsham: the Bike Path also connects to Topsham via the Merrymeeting Bridge. Pedestrian and bicycle access to the path is located on Elm Street in Topsham.

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine provides a terrific list of resources for road cyclists looking for spots to ride. The Coalition also posts information about its own rides and races as well. The state is also part of the long-distance, interstate trail project known as the East Coast Greenway that, when completed, will connect northernmost Maine to Florida.

Bowdoin Art Museum

Visit to see beautiful displays of art. Museum Hours Tuesday - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sunday: 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Closed on Mondays and national holidays. The Bowdoin College Museum of Art is open to the public free of charge, although donations are welcome. The Museum is wheelchair accessible through the Pavilion entrance.
