Coveside

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It was so nice to have the walking beach there at low tide. We observed the hermit crabs and enjoyed the water. We were disappointed that the Adirondack chairs were all broken, but made do with the chairs on the level above.
One point though: beware of the step going into the back bedroom. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

The view was amazing, the location was great very quiet, the kitchen was well stocked, the king bed was very comfortable and the girls at the MaineStay were amazing. The house needs a little TLC, the landscaping needs help and the living room furniture needs to be replaced.

This is a very clean home with a well stocked kitchen. It was nice to have extra blankets too.

Great location and views. Convenient access to shore from the deck when the tide goes out. Easy access to a lot of places.

This is my third time staying at Coveside. I love it’s location, the beautiful view that changes with the tides, and the quiet neighborhood.

Very cute house in a cove with a private beach. Very clean and had everything we needed!It was exactly what we were looking for and more!

Although this cottage does require some TLC, the view more than makes up for it's flaws. We thoroughly enjoyed sunsets on the deck and waking up each morning to spectacular sunrises. The kitchen is very well-equipped as we are self-proclaimed "foodies" and did not want for anything in the food prep department! The location is also great as it is close to nature reserves for hiking and within bike-riding distance to restaurants and a quaint, outdoor ice cream shop. We would love to return to this spot, especially if the issues we cited (hard-to-use kitchen and bathroom faucets and if a new coat of fresh paint on the deck were completed.) All in all we had a great stay!

I enjoyed a wonderful three week stay at Coveside. The house was very roomy and comfortable and had heat, which I needed in September. I love the location as it is on the water, in a quiet neighborhood. The big windows offer wonderful views and the porches allow options for seating. I will be back!

We had a great week at Coveside. The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed eating on the patio and watching the water through out the day. Our kids loved collecting starfish, shells, crabs and hermit crabs on the small beach. The house was very family friendly and had some toys available and stairs to the basement blocked off which was nice. We also traveled to several nearby beaches for days trips, which were a short drive from the house.

GREAT LOCATION AND VIEW. This quaint cottage was perfect for our stay. We could easily get to local restaurants, shopping, etc. View was awesome. It could use some tender loving touches in a few areas. The management were excellent in responding to our needs. Very lovely!

This house is a gem because of its view and location right on the water; at low tide you can walk the large expanse of beach; at high tide you can swim right from the deck. It is an older house and the furnishings downstairs are tired but the beds upstairs are comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It had everything I needed.

My family of six adults had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Coveside. The house was comfortable and had the right bedrooms for each of us. But the best part was the tri-level decks right on the water. Tide pools for exploring, lobster boats and even a seal or two gave us plenty of great things to explore and see. Do yourself a favor and purchase the linens for high quality, cleanliness and convenience.

The home was wonderful and an enjoyable way to spend a week away from it all in the summer. The location on the beach lets you just relax and not have to go anywhere. We enjoyed Erica’s seafood and buying lobsters right from the pier. We loved watching the different tide levels and exploring the beach at all times of the day. It’s such a peaceful place, Especially at night watching the stars. Great hiking all over Harpswell especially the cliff trail. Beautiful sunsets right from the deck. Portland is just 45 mins away. Perfect Maine getaway.

It was a delightful house for my family of 6 to rent. It was the perfect setting for 4 boys to explore. Thank you!

Coveside was an amazing place for us to stay with out large family (2 adults and 5 children). There was plenty of room for us to hang out inside the house, and lots of room on the spacious decks as well. The view was breathtaking and the sunsets at night were sound beautiful. Our family has stayed a many locations in the area (on Bailey Island, and Harpswell), and this is the first rental where we said we would definitely return! The MaineStay staff was outstanding and a pleasure to work with! Thank you so much for an awesome vacation!!

I loved that the house was so kid friendly! Kids cups and drawer of kids utensils... toy bin and not to mention my husband and i could relax on the deck while our boys 4&6 played in the shallow tides on the semi private beach!! Such an amzing experience

The home and views are beautiful. It is spacious and has everything you need. It is perfect for those who have elderly or children that want to be in the ocean but you don't want to pack all the beach stuff and walk the distance. The ocean is only a foot step from your deck. If you need anything or have a problem, Mainestay Vacations are in touch with you and respond instantly. I didn't want to leave and will for sure return soon!

Coveside was a perfect house for my family vacation. It was very comfortable and being right on the water was amazing! Several reviews of the house said that their children enjoyed hunting for sealife and I can say that my children, age 19 to 26, also enjoyed the hunt! This house is perfect for all ages! I loved the sunsets, a sunrise and my morning coffee on the deck. I hope to enjoy it next year!

The house was fantastic, had everything we needed. The view and access to the ocean were wonderful. Collected may shells to take home. We saw fireworks two of the nights we were there furnished by people in other cottages. Would definitely rent again and want it next year for 2 weeks instead of 1.
