The house & furnishings were very comfortable but the views were spectacular! The private dock, the seals and the local fisherman checking their traps added to the delight of this rental. Cundys Harbor is a charming spot with its wharf & store.

We were so happy with our decision to stay at HomePort on Bailey Island. When I called Debbie, she made the suggestion based on our small kids. I couldnt be more happy with the choice. The house is completely updated with everything you need for your stay. It was so nice to have the exact same kitchen as I do at home. The w/d in the house made a big difference after days at the beach. It is clean and a very close walk to 2 beaches. The park in front of the house is great for kids. We had an absolute blast on our vacation. It was great to be away from it all and just relax. HomePort and Bailey Island gave us just that. Debbie was very helpful too with getting the house set up for our late arrival and making sure packages were delivered to the house. I promise you cant go wrong with HomePort. Our expectations were far exceeded and we will definitely be returning.

Boat Works Cottage was exactly what the doctor ordered for the two of us in early July. The house exceeded our expectations -- very simple, but beautifully done, tastefully decorated and furnished, very clean and well maintained. Although it appears that the owner may have plans to develop some surrounding building sites, this hadnt been done yet, so the house felt very private. We could not get enough of the gorgeous views of Harpswell Sound, and we lounged on the small deck at every opportunity. The house (and Orrs Island in general) is very well situated, with easy access to Bath and Brunswick, two of our favorite towns in the area. Were already planning our return so that we can take advantage of some of the many small nature preserves/hiking areas close by. Debbie and the folks and Homes & Harbors were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We cant wait to come back, and would wholeheartedly recommend Boat Works to any couple looking for a really fantastic retreat.

Spent a week here and couldnt be happier with this cottage. The deck provides a great view of the water and the yard. There is a small dock and picnic table down by the water. We wanted a relaxing getaway and this was it. It was far enough from the road that you heard no cars. There were homes on either side but a good distance away and so hidden by the trees that you couldnt see or hear anyone. We basically knew they were there because they would occasionally get in their boats and depart. There is a nice yard in front of the cottage that we shared with visiting deer and a family of wild turkeys! There were many bird feeders around in the trees so in the mornings sitting out on the deck your attention alternated between looking out at the tranquil waters, watching lobster cages being pulled up and relieved of their catch, and watching and listening to the birds. The interior was perfect, new feeling, nicely decorated and almost solid glass on the water side so you had a beautiful view from every room. Main bedroom is downstairs, second up in a loft. Kids would love that. Perfect for couples, a family with one or two kids as long as they can share a bed, or a ladies getaway. Great wifi connection so we could keep up with our Internet based business (when forced to!). Only negative was poor cell reception, texting worked calls were difficult. But they cottage had a land line that you could have callers call in on. Plus we discovered if you went down in the cribs tone bridge area you got pretty good reception! Cant say enough good about this place, rent it, you wont regret it.

This house is beautifully positioned in Cundys Harbor overlooking Sheep Island. It is directly on the water in a small enclave of houses with a very local Maine feel. You can watch the lobster boats going out in the morning and see the ducks, seals and geese at various times of the day. Our days were spent driving around the area visiting small towns such as Wiscasset and Damariscotta with lots of small antique stores and lovely cafes etc. For a more serious shopping fix, the outlet stores at Freeport are only 20 minutes down the road. Everywhere you go, you can get fresh lobster and other seafood. After a day of touring around, it is great to come home and sit on the deck overlooking the water to enjoy a late afternoon drink. The kitchen is well stocked to enable you to cook dinner at home if you wish and there are plenty of pots and utensils to enable you to cook up your own fresh steamed lobster feast! Behind the house are plenty of woods with forest trails if you ever weary of the water view or if you want to engage in something more active. All in all it is a beautiful place to rest, relax and enjoy a true Maine experience.

Every summer, my husband and I rent a house in the Harpswell area, seeking a refuge from our busy lives. The house at Sailors way met our expectations. The house has an incredible view of the water on both the first and second floors. In fact, at high tide, the water reaches under the spacious deck. The balcony on the seond floor (off the master bedroom) is a relaxing spot to read or watch the stars at night. I enjoy cooking gourmet meals, and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare and serve dinner on the deck. A favorite activity (for us anyway) was watching the lobster boats come and go, and watch the ducks as they made their daily swim across to the small islands visible at low tide. Although Brunswick was 11 miles away, it was very easy to go into town for dinner, go to a movie, or visit the twice weekly farmers market on the town green. All in all, a quiet, relaxing, and comfortable place. I would consider renting Sailors Way

We arrived to a rolling fog, listened to the bark of seals as we fell asleep and rose next morning to bask in sunshine on the deck looking over water below. The setting is magnificent, the house a reminder of the best sort of family holidays. It was warm, overflowing with pots, pans, extra crockery, a barbecue, Scrabble, magazines and books...all a family could need. We stayed at Concorde NH and Kennebunkport on the way, enjoyed a moving feast of autumn colours on day trips along Harpswell Peninsula, and to Bath and Wiscasset where we ate lobster rolls at the award winning roadside van, Reds Eats. Sailors Way is an outstanding location to rest, revive and experience Maine.
